Are survey sites legitimate? Do they really pay? Yes, they are and yes, they do!
I have been paid by many different survey sites for filling out surveys and test out new products. I have earned cash, Amazon gift cards, magazine subscriptions and so much more. Want to know my favorite legit survey sites? Keep reading!
#1 Survey Site: Ipsos I-Say
Ipsos I-Say is one of the best survey sites around! Their surveys are short, easy to complete and pay fairly. They send out survey screeners (a few quick questions to determine eligibility in a larger survey) regularly and you get 5 points for taking the screener, even if you don’t qualify for the project they are screening you for. The payout is also quite low at only 1000 points or $10. If you only have time for one survey site, Ipsos I-Say is probably your best choice!

#2 Survey Site: Opinion Outpost
Opinion Outpost is probably my favorite survey site right now. They always have surveys available, the payout threshold is low (only $5 for an Amazon.com gift card), and they have lots of product testing opportunities. I am able to cashout on Opinion Outpost at least 2-3 times per month. And the cashouts are completed the same day for Amazon.com gift cards! You can’t beat that!
My only complaint would be that sometimes I hit dry spells where I don’t qualify for a full length survey for several days. I will fill out the demographics and then find out I disqualified. Not a huge deal because the demographics take about 30 seconds to fill out. But this can get frustrating if you’re new to surveys so that’s why I am bringing it up. My other suggestion would be to avoid any survey that has OpinionSphere or OTX on it. They are glitchy and will frequently disqualify you several minutes into the survey. I am not sure why this happens but it is best to just avoid them.
Aside from those two small things, I HIGHLY recommend Opinion Outpost!

#3 Survey Site: Tellwut
Tellwut is another fantastic paid survey site! It is recommended by over 80% of panelists (survey takers)! I only recently joined the site but I have a lot of great thing to say about it. First of all, you get 200 points (equivalent to around 50 cents) just for joining. Secondly, the payout is pretty low. It’s 4000 points for a $10 Amazon.com gift card. You’re 5% of the way there, just for joining. Another great aspect of the site is that you can create your own survey and poll a large group of people on whatever topic you choose. You can also take these surveys and earn small amounts of points. They’re a fun break in the monotony of longer surveys and they move you that much closer to your payout.
#4 Survey Site: Mindswarms
Mindswarms is my best kept secret (well, not anymore, I guess). They have short, really fun video surveys that pay $10-50. No, I am not kidding and no, that’s not a typo. They have 1 question surveys that pay $10 and they have 7 question surveys that pay $50. Both types are really fun but they require a webcam or a smart phone that can be used to capture and upload video. I just use a Logitech C210 I bought for $20 and I haven’t had any problems. I have done 4 surveys for them and have been paid within 1 day every single time. I HIGHLY recommend that you join MIndswarms!
#5 Survey Site: SurveySpot
SurveySpot is another great survey site. It was one of the very first sites I joined and I have had a lot of great luck there. I have earned at least $300 in cash and prizes and I have tested lots of products for SurveySpot. The surveys don’t pay as well as some of the other sites but they make up for that with the vast number of surveys available. I can log in any day of the week and have several surveys ready to take. They have been around for years and they always payout quickly. SurveySpot is definitely a great beginner survey site.
More to come…
This is just the beginning! These are my top 5 favorite survey sites but I am also compiling a list of all the legitimate survey sites that I personally use and have been paid by. In the meantime, check out this great list of legitimate paid surveys!
